YungBen and Dixie Yelvington both met and graduated from Montana State University-Bozeman. Since moving to Billings in 2013, they joined and were warmly welcomed into the Billings art scene. They have settle here and now have a young son together.
YungBen’s passion for yoga began in high school while treating shin splints during cross-country, track, and marathon training. Many of his martial arts classes started with yoga-like movements and YungBen gradually started doing more of the yoga and less of the martial arts. He has been faculty for Limber Tree’s Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher School and is a Registered Yoga Teacher.
Now owner of YungBen’s Yoga with his wife Dixie, YungBen is offering more flexibility with teaching yoga in local studios, parks, in homes and to groups or individuals. They offer mat, aerial, acrobatic, and partner yoga with mindfulness and meditation instruction. They own a portable rig that can be setup for two participants or rotate out for groups to experience and learn aerial hammock yoga. Check out the calendar on the YungBen’s Yoga page for workshops, partner, mat, and aerial workshops and series for kids and adults.
YungBen and Dixie are also aerialists and can perform at special events. Check out photos and more information on the Performance page.
